Description: Calling all animal lovers and golf enthusiasts! Alaqua Animal Refuge will host the Second Annual “FORE! The Love of Animals” Golf Tournament to be held Saturday, June 10 at The Links Golf Club at Sandestin in Miramar Beach, FL.
The Tournament features an 8:30 a.m. check-in with a 10 a.m. shotgun start, scamble format; breakfast by Chick-fil-A and a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar; 18 holes of golf with a cart; boxed lunch; two drink tickets; and a fun after-party.
Presented by Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort as the Top Dog Title Sponsor, the Tournament welcomes teams of four plus individuals. Registration is $250 per golfer or $850 per foursome. Registration opens Wednesday, April 5 and can be found online at Alaqua.org.
The Tournament will wrap up with a “Yappy Hour” Awards Celebration to be held at the Sunset Bay Café in Sandestin for all participants and sponsors, and will feature an array of hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. The event will also have multiple raffles and live music. Awards will be given for first, second, and third teams, closest to the hole, and closest to the snake!

Description: The 21st annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic takes place June 21 - 25, 2023. Timed to coincide with the peak of the Gulf Coast’s blue marlin season, and located at the South’s number-one ranked resort destination, the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort sets the new precedent for world-class sportfishing tournaments.
This annual event offers something for everyone. Most importantly, for the angling teams, there’s the deep blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, red-hot billfish action, and cool green cash. While on-shore, both the teams and their families can enjoy the wide variety of recreational activities offered at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and The Village of Baytowne Wharf. The spectacular night time weigh-ins are held at the Baytowne Marina at Sandestin and are open to the public.
